Rabbits are hindgut fermenters with a highly specialized digestive system. The greatest risk in commercial rabbit production is enteritis (gut stasis or diarrhea), almost always caused by diets too high in starch and too low in indigestible fiber.
Our rabbit feeds utilize high-quality, sun-cured alfalfa meal to provide the exact balance of digestible and indigestible fiber needed to maintain rapid gut motility and support healthy cecal fermentation for caecotrophy (night feces consumption).
