The Science of Extrusion
Extrusion is the gold standard for aquaculture feed manufacturing. Unlike standard pelleting, our extrusion process uses high heat, pressure, and moisture to fully cook the starches in the grain. This gelatinization process creates a highly digestible pellet matrix that traps air, allowing us to control the exact buoyancy of the feed.
